Get Rid of Panda Eyes

Your eyes are the first thing that people notice when they meet you so you have to take extra special care of them to look your best. Here are some simple tips you can follow:
  1. Recognize your no. 1 need whether it is dark circles or fine lines and get a good eye serum to use daily; once in the morning before applying your make-up and once in the evening after removing your make-up. I like using the Olay White Radiance Eye Serum as it is specifically made to tackle dark circles. I also like Garnier's Eye Roller as it has a small roller ball which helps massage the area. For an extra refreshing effect, store your eye serum in the refrigerator as it feels absolutely great when applied.
  2. Apply the product generously and massage gently in circular motions using the tip of your finger. The massaging technique not only helps the product absorb easier but also helps improve blood circulation in the area which is crucial for beautiful skin. Just make sure you are being extremely gentle to avoid stretching the delicate skin.
  3. The old basics of beauty care apply to your eyes: you have to drink lots of water to flush out toxins, try to sleep a minimum of 7 hours a day and reduce or eliminate smoking and drinking as these are all reasons you will end up with panda eyes. For a quick fix on bad days, apply your eye serum followed by concealer and dab some silver sparkling eye shadow in the corner of your eyes coming all the way down to give an illusion of a good night’s rest.
  4. There are some homemade remedies you can also try with your weekly facial. I'm not a fan of the whole cucumber slice concept as it doesn’t stay cool for too long and is hard to balance. I prefer storing pre-soaked green teabags for an hour in the fridge and leaving them on my eyes while the mask is working its magic. It feels refreshing and is great for your skin.
Hope you enjoy trying out these easy tips to having beautiful eyes.

Dress the Part | Romantic Dinner

Whether it's a romantic dinner with your husband, boyfriend or date, it’s important to look good and put your best foot forward. The key to looking good is to be confident and feel sexy. Few rules to follow:
  1. Look sexy but don't show too much skin: Feel free to show off your awesome figure in a tight dress but balance how much skin you show by covering up more from the top, if your dress is short. I love the Jennifer Aniston look above that’s classy and yet looks very sexy.
  2. Find your best asset and flaunt it: Beauty comes in all shapes and forms so don't let your size or shape stop you from looking and feeling absolutely gorgeous. Insecurity is not a sexy look so ditch the "do I look fat in this dress" attitude and glow with confidence in a chic ultra-glam look.
  3. Pair up the perfect dress with the perfect heels: They don’t just add length but also make your legs look toned. Wear open toed shoes only if you have the perfect pedicure (which you should have for a romantic dinner!). I love the Louboutin black pumps that match most cocktail dresses.
  4. Accessorize: It’s chic when done right and can add sparkle & energy to an outfit. Remember, you want to exude feminine energy towards your partner so keep it fun and flirty. I love Dior jewelry for such an occasion.
  5. Make sure you are comfortable: Limping half way through your date or constantly pulling your dress down is not a good look. Make sure you feel comfortable in your dress and shoes so you focus more on the romance vs the outfit!

Fashion Favorites | All Hail Tiffany Blue

Tiffany blue is just one of those colors that really brightens up your look. Pair a light dress with glammy flats, perfectly manicured/pedicured nails & girly accessories (I'm wearing a Dior pink heart necklace & Swarovski charm bracelet) for an ultra effortless, flirty, casual look.

Keep the Frizz Under Control

I recently came back from a summer vacation in Ibiza and going for a beach holiday, I knew I had to take some extra measures to control the hair frizz situation and avoid the Friends' Monica Barbados syndrome. That's when I met Pantene Clinicare. Now I'm not new to the brand as I have been using Pantene since I was 13 years old, and therefore, I knew I could totally count on their new Clinicare range.

They have a shampoo, conditioner, leave on treatment and rinse off treatment. I'm particularly a huge fan of the shampoo and conditioner duo for the ultimate frizz control and I generally use the Clinicare Conditioner with my Pantene Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo for everyday use. The leave in treatment spray is perfect for application right before you step out and has a great scent. I also like to use the rinse off treatment once or twice a week for intense repair especially after coloring.

According to Pantene's website, the science behind Clinicare is known as the ion-scan complex. It identifies areas of the hair that have aged the most and uses Amino-S, a unique silicon fluid to restore the damage and give you younger looking hair. It never occurred to me that hair also ages and even more so due to the damage we inflict through our coloring, styling and blow drying every single day. So there you go, now you can have younger looking hair!

It's a bit more expensive than the Pantene range but absolutely worth the extra cost. You will notice a difference from the first wash so go ahead and say goodbye to dry and damaged hair.

Fashion Favorites | Night Out

I like to mix up a cute dress with chunky accessories and boots to keep it hip and fun. Carry bright colored bags with monotone clothes to add pop to your outfit. Hot bag colors this season are cherry, grape, lemon & emerald. Just remember the key to having a great night out is to keep it comfortable so make sure your shoes don't spoil the fun. So go ahead and dance the night away!
