Permanent Hair Removal at Home

Shocking headline? Should be! After generations of suffering from multiple hair removal methods from the pain to the short-term results - the miracle of permanent hair removal without breaking bank is here. The Silk'n SensEpil is a personal combined-energy based device for long-term hair removal.

Skeptical of the product's performance, after all who believes in painless and permanent hair removal at home, I ordered my Silk'n SensEpil online and prepared myself for a letdown. I read the instructions thoroughly and watched the turorial CD to ensure I use the product as directed. It is a hand held device much like an epilator but has a lamp head that emits light as you press the button (familiar with laser hair removal? It’s the same idea). There are different levels of light that you can select and it is completely painless at the first 3 levels. You just feel a slight tingle and heat on your skin. It is suitable for fair skin tones and for darker hair (not suitable for blondes). You will need to treat each area about 8 times over a span of 3-4 months and the results are fantastic! I saw an 80% reduction in the treated areas so far.

So how does it work?
The product costs $499 while the lamp cartridges cost $45 per piece. You will need to replace them every 3-4 sessions depending on the area you are treating. It still costs a fraction of laser hair removal so I highly recommend this investment! 1. At home hair removal devices are cheaper than only a treatment at a good cosmetic clinic, so from this point of view we should all use such devices.
Unfortunately that's very risky because laser hair removal has a few side effects that can be avoided only by an experienced technician.
The first treatment I had at Skin Vitality was very relaxing and safe thanks to the doctor that took extra care of me.

I think the only thing that can convince me to use a hair removal machine at home would be a special training to teach me how to use it...not a manual or tutorial, but a real training with a certified person or something.

  2. You're right, Julia. There's always a risk factor associated with any beauty device. What I like about this particular one is that it has a safety check against your skin color and if you are too dark or have been in the sun, it actually won't work. Also, we need to keep in mind that the power of the home devices is much lower than the professional ones so the risk of burning is also lower. I've tried both so if you can afford the professional treatments and do see results - then go for it! :)
